Hi all, I'm closing this blog since it's been left stale for quite a long time partly bcause i'm lazy to write. well, I am start a new one, if u're lucky, u catch it. =)
dark clouds gathered in the morning 7.30 am, which encouraged me to bring along an umbrella, an item that seldom appear in my packing list. this is a bad sign for a trekking activity at pulau ubin.
Part of 04S3A had a small gathering and birthday celebration for kelvin lim at Pasta de Waraku. The food was not bad (comments from hk and low) but comes in small portions. Luckily, they filled the stomach with the chocolaty birthday cake we bought for lim. I am glad that most of them enjoyed themselves as i've booked the "wrong" restaurant, which I though was Waraku for dining.
I jus came back from Changi General Hospital, visiting my aunt, who was diagnosed to have a tumour in her brain. I am not sure about the chances of recovering, but it doesn't seem to be optimistic. She was quite young, with three kids, the youngest is currently studying primary 1. Its very worrying.
"Doors closing, please stand clear of door", and the door closed! That was the stop at the terminal station, and the door was only opened for less than 2 minutes.
I received a shocking msg when attending a lecture. It states that, "Hi, can you take over the position of group leader as i am invited by my friends to join them... ... " Stunned, I do not know how should I reply him. This person is the leader of the group formed from a pool of strangers who was new to the school and hardly had any friends to ally a group of 10. I felt terrible. Though I accepted it unwilling, as he had not submitted the namelist and we're short of one member. After getting the infomation of the team, I called a person and "tricked" him to be the head. haha.. that's very bad of me. but he loved to do the job. luckily, everything still turns out smoothly after a last minute meeting with one another.
Returning to school is refreshing, which was something that I am looking forward. Right now, i find universuty life is quite adaptable, except i do not have much chance to know new friends, probably due to the fact that i missed out the orientation camp. However, i am still quite lucky that I had a colleague studying the same course and friends in the campus.

ubin trip in drizzles

indeed, rain started pouring when we reached changi village walking towards the jetty. initially, i thought the rain would go away within an hour but it persisted for the whole day. however, the chilly weather did not dampened our spirt to continue the trail in ubin, and put my umbrella to good use.
When walking to chek jawa, we took pictures along the way at the plants, animals and some unique features, e.g. cookie monster figure. On the way, i saw a medium size wild boar dashing across the road, followed by 2 smaller size being. i supposed its the mother bringing her kids for an outing. haha. Another plus point is a monitor lizard was spotted crossing the road. i am quite fortunate to glance at these wild animals which can only be met by chance. not a wasted trip.
there's nothing much to see at chek java due to the tide, 1.3m. [coral can only be seen at tide low as 0.4m] finally, the event end with a chill coconut drink. oh yeah, I've got one with smooth flesh and sweet juice. contented.
this is a not so bad trip, better without the irritating rain. =P

The after prog was prawning somewhere at katib, suggested by pei wen who went there to meet bf. That's a fresh idea as all of us did not have the experience. For me, i jus went to chill out and chit chat with friends, getting to know more about kelvin lim that night whom claims to b an "evergreen" =P
Through the whole night, they have donated baits to the prawn with only low "buying" a prawn for $18 plus. Quite a boring activity but its a place to chill out and chit chat.

Life is so unpredictable. Have you buy any insurance? Sometimes, we shunned insurance agents thinking I am still young and does not need to get one so early or may be simply I do not have the financial capabilities. However, if you have the extra few dollars every month, one should consider getting one, so you would not be a great financial burdun on the family members spenting on the high medical expenses.
Well guys, take good care of your health. You can only live oncce.
P.S I am not an insurance agent hard selling any policies.

The Train is Sooooo squeezy!

The train packed with human which was the same scene at the platform. Standing in the middle of the cabin, i tried to squeeze my way out, rushing to school to attend the morning lecture. However, there was stream of working class gushing in and i don't stand a chance to step out. There are people who attampted to pushed in even when the door is closing. Due to this incident, i was sent back to the previous station and have to take the opposite direction back. For this, I was delayed for 15 minutes and late for my lecture. My friend shared a similar experience encountered by her sister. Is this the reason people tend not to move inwards? That's an issue to be examined.

It has been quite some time since I touched any science materials. So, I am reading up my notes before attending the lectures. today, jus met up with les, low and ds who are reading up their biology notes. I felt quite lucky comapre to their terrible sechdule as lessons ends late for most of the days.. hope everything will go on smoothly and i'll make new friends during tuitorial classes. That's to form a grp of 10 for a project!! haiz, required to submit names b4 18 aug. gotta work hard to look for new friends taking the same course. cheers.
